Do vintage cameras have a personality? Are they temperamental like some people? By all means they do and they are. Ask any person that has ever worked with one. From the awesome looks to how they feel in your hands to the final result - you can discover character everywhere.

My name is Krassi Genov and I have been obsessing with collecting and using vintage cameras for over a decade nows. I still use digital, but just love the unpredictability and design of old film cameras.

One day I asked myself - Can you match a camera with a person? Can you bring out the best in both of them? What if you add some expired film to the mix? Time to find out...

This project has been on my mind for some time now. Over the years I have experimented with various films, lenses and cameras but I never quite chose one camera for one person and tried to make that magic work:-).

Launch date was on July 4 2015. Other than the actual camera shots, all pictures in the galleries are the original film pictures - shot, developed and scanned. I let the cameras and films speak for themselves.

Many thanks to my gracious and brave friends and models who agreed to participate in this project with so many unknowns! Yes we wasted some film but in return out friendship grew stronger and we had so much fun in the process.
